How far are the ports from Puerto Plata city?

Taino Bay is roughly 1–2 km from central Puerto Plata as approximate planning context — a short taxi or tour transfer when traffic allows. Amber Cove is about 11 km (7 miles) west in Maimón — plan on roughly 15–25 minutes by road as approximate context only (traffic varies). Damajagua, Monkeyland and beach routes are reachable from both ports, but transfer times differ - confirm with your operator.
